I'm an electrical contractor that has been in business for 32 years,so I guess I.m caught in the middle of this thread. I have people call or come by the office or job to ask tons of questions using a lot of time then tell me they are going to shop around or buy the material at a local discount store since I've educated them,also they want me to match someones going out of business price,or they want me to do something that's against code to save money,I have found the customer is always right is a quick way to go out of business,over the years I've come to the conclusion that I can't make all customers happy so I try to cater to the customers that really are good customers. So there is always two sides to every story.
