The 300LX sounds great, but what's the deal with the 300 Special? Is it as good? If I've read all the posts correctly, the only difference is the wing is about 2 inches lower on the LX verse the Special's wing location... What motor is going in the Special prototype?

You are exactly right, the only difference is the wing position. Some people like it high, others low.

I've already flown the Special prototype on a DA 50, performance is identical to the Edge, although flight characteristics vary somewhat.
