Wow, sure is a lot of intrest in this bird. I saw a UCD fly at my field with the ST90. I was very impressed with the performance and decided I had to have one. Picked one up at LHS
and after looking it over and beginning assembly, it seems they have made some improvements to the wing since early postings on this thread. Such as all balsa ribs, none crushed. I did have some wing tip damage, (outside of box damage), easily repaired.
I wanted to ask opionions on engine choice. I own a ST-G90, and a O.S. 90 surpass II w/ pump, both looking for a home. Between these two engine choices, What say you all ?
I am leaning toward the O.S., just because I like 4-strokes. I have a perry pump I could add to the ST installation, so both ways could have tank sitting on C.G.
Sure is a lot of usefull information here on the UCD and I plan on useing all the mods and upgrades I have read about. Though I did skip from page21 to 62 after several nights reading through this long thread.
