Ok I think I have actually have an answer but would like to confirm it. I removed the baffle from my muffler quite some time ago, so I could hear the damn engine while flying. Well it has been two months since I have flown and I can not get the darn thing to idle. Seem to remember this on last flight 2 months ago. I'm chasing the idle mixture all over the place. I flew today and said screw it and just trimmed idle high after half hour of freezing my buns off trying to adjust it. Well on approach, needed to add a little power to flare and she deadsticked on me. Could removing that baffle cause this problem at idle. I'm gonna be so mad at myself if this is the case!
