i dont know if this is true, but I heard that a LOT of these ARFs are built in places like China, by women (small delicate fingers and all that) and they get paid SFA... you have to check the plane as thoroughly as you can. Sometimes they miss glueing certain areas etc. Also you have to check the quality of the wood used too. I believe that the quality is miles ahead of where it used to be, which is a good thing. Just be careful i guess.

Anyhow, I am going to buy a CAP232, and a GILES but while i am putting those together, I am going to also buy what they call a SCANNER. Its a sport trainer to help me practice so theres less chance of pranging the CAP or the Giles.

Incidentally, i think the 2stroke engine of choice is now the new OS 46AX. I could be wrong. But I am going to put a 4 stroke in. The Magnum 61RFS. I can get one for $260 AUD instead of $360 and I think it may sound a little more realistic.
