When I set my Cap up, I think I was talking back and forth with Joe Hunt. I was told that they had cut out the cowl around the carb and ended up with problems so I left my cowl covering the carb aera.

Since you have removed the cowl from that area, I think I would just fly the plane and see how the engine acts like it is.

Are the mufflers stock DA mufflers? looks like the cut-out for the left one is a lot larger then I have on my cowl?
