Default RE: GP Christen Eagle maiden......

I just ordered mine -- to my door by the end of the week.

I'm planning on mounting the Fuji 50SA with the short prop shaft per instructions. I know it won't be as responsive as the DA50 but it should satisfy my needs. (I have an AW X300L Profile with a Moki 180 to satisfy my 3D needs.)

I haven't made my flight pack decision yet. I usually go with the Hitec 5600 digital servos for 1/4-scale airplanes. According to the instructions this plane only needs hi-torgue in the rudder. Based on that I'm contemplating (6) Hitec HS-5475HB servos for the airlons and elevator and (1) Hitec HS-5975HB for the rudder. Throttle and, if used, engine kill will be standard servos. MPI Miracle switch/voltage regulator and a NIMH 3500 battery will finish her off. Since the engine is a magneto/electronic I don't need an ignition battery.

Since the flying wires are not functional, and I'm not planning on submitting this bird to a scale contest, I will leave them off. I will make the decision about the tail wheel and spinner for when I get the kit. I like your choice of pilot and will look into litepilots.com.
