I am 30. Been flying for 15 years. Been in R/C cars, boats and motorcycles for 21 years, but no longer stay on the ground. Took me a year and half to teach myself how to fly. There was a lot of crashing in that time frame.

My 6 year old daughter has been flying for 4 months and solo'd her 3rd flight. Simulators are a great way to learn.
