My name is Anthony Canario. I AM the sole importer of the S2G powered plane line in the USA.
Let me tell you why I import this line. Because I took the time to fly to Germany-Czech Republic and a few other European countries in search of new RC Planes. I visited the factory where these planes are built. I flew with the workers and the owner. I followed the construction from the first cut to the covering phase and I was IMPRESSED!! With the fact that I flew with the men building the planes. I was IMPRESSED with the fact that the planes are built with wood glue and allowed to jig dry. I was IMPRESSED with how each plane flew. I was IMPRESSED with the choice woods used and the level of QC.
As far as someone somewhere selling the plane for $219.00 USD with an engine? Well all I can say is must be in business to loose money. I know I would loose money on every Extase I sold if I sold it at that price with the cheapest .61 I could find!
As far as "suspect quality" goes. I have about 70 Extase planes in the field. I have about 7 customers who bought 2 of them cause they loved the plane and wanted a back up or a different color. Most sales stemmed from people that saw the plane fly and then wanted one. I have had one returned to me and I never asked why? Just gave the refund. The plane was perfect and I fly that one myself. I built it!
Locally one man "Lester" has an EXTASE I sold him about 7 months ago. He has flown the plane at least 120 to 140 flights. Loves it. He hung an OS 91 4str. on it. Lester flies 50/50 fun fly and sports flying. Plane flies as good today as it did the first time he took it out.
I guess it is a possibility that a lame batch made it out of the factory? Maybe that’s why they were so cheap at that time??
But this I do know. If any person buys an Extase from me and finds it to be anything less than a finely made plane. His money will be refunded. Like I said, 1 out of 70 returned. I fly that one to this day!
