for hte cornish flag, try 2 layers of purple or dark blue transparent. it should look black if you dont try to c the purple too hard.

btw in the poem you linked to, the line about "i flew over the battle of shilo ect", ecactly what other flag would have since it was the civil war? (note the confederate flag was a battle flag not a country flag)
