Default RE: BRISON 2.4 VS FPE 2.4 ?????

I don’t know if they were the Worlds worst cranks, they did pose a healthy problem. How to keep the lobs in place like a Dolmar style crank was a loosing proposition from the start. Cantilever was the answer to that but then the company went bust before Al Willart could perfect the solution for the crank problems.

If Al would have turned over the sales and marketing to someone reliable and he just concentrated on R&D he would have solved the crank problems and you might see AM the biggest name in big gas.

There are a bunch of 6.4's running around with AM cranks in them, the owners don’t know it. Gary was able to solve that cranks problems as well as the 4.8 crank problems prior to releasing the motor to the public. You don’t see the cranks spinning as much as you did before and Gary can guarantee the cranks way longer because they are so much less expensive than Dolmars and you can straighten a Brison crank you can't straighten a Dolmar crank.

just my .02 worth
