Mike, good shots of your construction! I also have purchased the DV . Am looking forward to starting it. How long did it take you to build it.

Remember, some of the photos in this thread (those showing retracts) belong to Salmonbug and not me.

It took me about two weeks of spare time to frame it up, but I'm not the world’s fastest builder....... If you just follow the written directions you'll do fine. I didn't find any place in the construction process that was tricky....or required any more explanation than the manual gave.

I would recommend that you make sure you have a large area to work. As you might be able to see in the photos the DV overhung my work bench (a 36" door). This is covered in the directions and they even mention that it will overhang.

I did have a bit of a flat spot where the center panel sheeting met the LE sheeting. This is where it attaches to the main spar. I used some filler and a 10"x4" sanding block to get a smooth curve it that area.
