Default RE: The Terminator would say "I'm Back"

Good to hear from you again, Jim. Weather up here hasn't been cooperating for flying. We went out last Sunday, was about 45 deg. when we got to the field, and weather immediately started going sour. We managed to get a few flights in on some stuff, but the Herk is relegated to the hanger till better weather comes by. Calling for 6-10" of snow here starting tomorrow. We have restrictions on our field until Feb. 1 that basically does not permit flying on Saturday, and that's when I plan on doing my taxi tests, etc. When I'm doing testing, I don't particularly like a crowd around so I can concentrate. I also hate to hold others up from flying when I'm doint this, so I opt for Sat. afternoon when there is usually no one else there. But, there will be at least one video camera on it during the tests. I had my son videoing my "taxi test" of the A-26, and during one of the taxi runs it suddenly leaped into the air and before I knew what happened I was committed to the flight. Had all kinds of trim problems, but got it up and down in one piece. At 20# and 52 oz. wing loading I wasn't expecting it to voluntarily take off! Guess I'll know better next time.
So for now, I'm just keeping the dust off the Herk till spring, or spring like weather.
Good to have you back.
Randy
