Default RE: Shuttle Z

Hi Mike, well first of all to get parts, check out : www.heliproz.com or http://www.ronlund.com/ for parts both have everything you need and the prices are great. The blades should be fine if they were balanced properly before. Just make sure you didn't get any 'hanger rash' while you where away. You might have to reshrink the plastic covering with a heat gun. Make sure the flybar didn't get dinged as well. I would probably change out all of your fuel tubing including the one inside the fuel tank. Check your glow plug, also you did put some afterrun oil in the engine before you stored it, right? If not you might want to pull the backplate of the motor and make sure there is no rust or gunk in the engine and bearings. Make sure and re-oil everything that needs lubrication. For set up you might want to get one of the many heli instructional videos out. I think both of the links above have some available, or you can check out a good book like Ray's authorative Heli guide. Covers balancing, set-up etc. If you can't get the book, hopefully you still have the instructions that came with your Shuttle, which is very good as well. There is a good shuttle site you can check out:
http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/6951/index.html
http://www.hirobotechnique.com/index.html
http://home.bellsouth.net/p/s/commun...upid=93931&ck=

The shuttle is a great little heli, easy to learn on and stable, and later with minimal set up you can learn aerobatics and 3d with it.
Good luck,
alvin
