I have been stuffing around with these things for a while (should really be building my new pattern ship, but these are so much more fun).

My setup is:

GWS 350
6.6:1 GB
11*8 GWS prop
Schultz 24 amp s-controller
JR R600 receiver
4 GWS Naro BB servos 9g
2s E-tech 1200 pack (wont kill your motor)

My latest one I build down to 9.5 oz with all this gear using 3 and 6mm depron. With this weight and the 11*8 prop you have the same sort of acceleration you get from a BL setup.

The lipos I got through the same person I get my depron from "Solar mobility" in Sydney but you could get them through [link=http://www.modelcopter.com]Zaf at modelcopter[/link]. He offers the lipos at the same price as what you can get them for overseas only he is Australian (Zaf is the Australian importer). He also has a link to a new Australian site called easy electric flight that has most things.

Don't buy a lipo charger, if you can put together an aircraft you can build a charger for about $8.

I am also looking into some local companies to help me with CD-rom conversions ( help machine the end bell and shafts etc), so that could also be an option in a few months for you.
