EXACTLY HOW IMPORTANT IS RIGHT THRUST?
I have a .46-sized Extra 300L into which I will be putting a Jett .60L engine (which swings an 11x6 prop at 14,500 RPMs using an in-cowl muffler and running rich!! The engine is a monster.
But I'm wondering, how necessary is right thrust? Couldn't you just add tiny bit of right trim to your rudder and ailerons? Or is the countertorque of an engine too much to be counteracted by minor trim adjustments?
