Default Paint Chips for Scale documentation

I am working on a scale Gee Bee R2 for competition that is using the replica R2 Delmar Benjamin flew in airshows in the 90's as the subject. I have never assembled documentation for competition before, and am looking for paint chips for the proof. I contacted the builder of the plane yesterday, and he gave me the numbers and names of each paint. PPG 0882 White, PPG 71844 Red, and PPG 99 Black. These paints are from the PPG DGHS Poly paint. PPG has a huge website, and I spent two hours trying to find anything to do with chips. (NADA) I went to the local distributor of PPG paints in my town. He cannot get me the chips, but he verified paint numbers in his computer, and can make the paint for me.

My question(s) are: Where can I get chips for these? Is there an FS595A number available for these paints so I can order chips from another source? Do I really need these chips in my documentation at all?
