Glad I could help. I've never been a fan of the "build the surfaces separate from the fixed surface" method. Without a jig to fully support the surface, I can only imagine the nightmares involved in trying to keep the surface straight. On a double tapered wing, or tail, I would imagine it to be next to impossible.
