I tried to avoid the question, but I can't help from asking, and this is by no means a bash... Just curiosity, and don't answer if you are uncomfortable TwinMania.
You have a $660 dollar Twin Titan, top of the line, and now you want to by a CEN. You mentioned before you have no job and some kids... How do you support the hobby? Am I missing out on some great opportunity?
No harm done. I don't mind answering your question.
First of all, like mentioned, I do not have a job. On the contrary, I have two degrees though. Bachelors in Business Management and Associates in Network Systems Administration. It's kinda tough right now especially in the Information Technology field. It would be greatly appreciated if someone can refer or know of an opening even in desktop support. I know it is out of the question but I am in desperately need of a job.
To answer your question regarding purchasing a Cen MT2, I guess the main reason is because it costs too much to run the twin. Consider this, you will be filling two tanks simultaneously for the twin and not to mention the need for spare glow plugs. That is double the cost of consumables. It may seem kind of dumb purchasing another truck without a job but I have not made that decision yet. I was thinking of purchasing another truck to run more frequently than the Twin. Also, I can sell the twin anytime if I really needed the money thru Ebay knowing I can sell it at the price I purchased it. I may be wrong but I based this since only 500 were produced for consumers worldwide.
As of how I support the hobby, Ebay is the answer. I have been making more $$$ than my previous network support position. I know Ebay is only a temporary thing but it will do for now while job hunting. Also, we have a family business in asia which I managed for a while which also gave a bit of savings.
I guess the main answer to your "missing out on some great opportunity" question is Ebay. You should try it. You'll be surprised of how much extra you can make on the side.
Hope I have answered your inquiry.
