That's the way its going to be for me now - build the wing first and then separate the aileron from the structure.
And yes Paul - I too cannot build two wing halves and join them together. I build one half first then pin it to the board at the appropriate dihedral angle and then build the second half against it. I read this tip in Harry Higleys book (Getting Airborne - can't remember Vol 1 or Vol 2) and I must say it is one of the best tips that I've come across. Before that all my wing joints had gaps and obviously were weak.
