your beginner is not far from the truth. All I had to do was to put the landing gear,horizontal tail, and all of the linkage rods in and cut two holes and drill one and I was done. Everything was done at the factory. Of course, I had to install the motor and electrioncs. I took it to the field today but didn't get to fly it because I didn't glue the wing together(Dumb). The hands at the field was
asking me what I had to do to get it set-up and they told me that the avistar was nothing like the kyosho as far as being prebuilt.
