Default Lanier Edge 540

With a 3W 42 it will hover at about 1/4 throttle. It put mine over 13 lbs, which is really too heavy. If you really want a gas motor on it go with the lightest thing you can find - probably a ZDZ 40 (does a 3W 24 weigh less?) 50cc's are definatley too much for this plane. If I had to do it again I wouldn't put a gas motor on this plane at all, I'd probably use a YS 140 or Saito 150/180. In any case, DEFINATELY take the red covering off the bottom of the fuse and go over all the joints with CA - when you see them it's really scary how little (almost no) glue they use! Reinforce the firewall in some way too (tri-stock, glass, etc.) I've heard of several of these planes coming apart, including mine! It's a great flying plane, just not built well.
