As far as what they are painting I can only think it is the inside of the fusalage where the gas tank goes. It is a good idea to do that. I did not go buy a new gas tank becasue of the way the firewall is cut for that type of tank. I went to my local hobby shop and got a sullivan gas tank fuel top that fit it. Cost only $2.00. My LHS let me try a couple until I had one that would work. I fell this is the best way to go because of the way the tank mounts into the firewall.

You will have a great time with this kit. Use a good running 46 and you will have all of the power you need. Good Luck
