WOW! Now i know what 9000 rpms are like. It must have been the timing. I just started it up and the whole engine came alive. The guy i bought this engine from, says " I was thinking about your problem and remembered i took it apart to oil it before i put it away a couple of months ago, might check the timing" Now who would take it apart to oil it and not set the timing right and then re-sell it. What a nightmare. O'well she runs good now. I have learned a lot in tinkering with my first 4-stroke.
