Gray, you are still not comparing like with like. I could equally say that without PPM failsafe my plane would have been dead. We can make PCM radios without failsafe and then your PCM set would be like PPM without failsafe. Interference would cause it to go berserk. It's not PCM or PPM that makes the big difference, it is having failsafe. Until recently it was only PCM that had failsafe fitted, so a lot of people have confused PCM and failsafe as being the same thing. They are not, they are separate entities. Failsafe is now available on PPM and it is that system that you have to compare against PCM failsafe, not a PPM without failsafe.
