Default RE: Digital Servos and centering (Deadband)

ORIGINAL: MustangFan

One of the reasons to go to digital servos is centering accuracy.
After looking at the specs of some of your new servos, I need a little more understanding.

The standard 635 is listed in Servo City's specs as having a deadband of 4 microseconds.
The digital 6225 and 6245 are listed as 8 microseconds.

Questions:
1.) Will the 8 microsecond deadband have a noticeable effect on the centering capability? Hitec's really good servos have 1 microsecond deadband.

2.) Can the deadband be adjusted lower without ill effects using the programmer?

Thanks in Advance !!!
Double check your part numbers, I am not aware of the digitals you mention. I noted Servo Cities site suggested the 5625/5645 digital servos as having an 8usec db. I beleive this an error, should be 1usec.

Hitec's "Mike Mayberry" the Forum host is out of the country presently and will return soon.
