Nice Ship, i saw one of these departing Hillsboro municipal the other day. They really do fly like a goose. At full power all cleaned up the thing couldn't have been doing much more then 60-70mph and it was making more noise then you could possibly believe. Those radials are not quiet on climb. The thing truly is a flying boat. My dad's got some experience in the goose he's done checkrides and has his multi+seaplane license. When he got it I was only 6 years old and was just big enough to see out the window of the goose with some straining. I remember being a little terrified as spray came up over the windows not knowinf if we were going to become airborne or become a submarine lol...
