Default RE: Keep it simple

Thank you Jim

Having only flown twin engines to date, engine 1 & 4 were where I wanted to get synch up right on through the full throttle spectrum (9 CAP has 5 increments to set to). The wing will have connection points for throttle/flaps/aileron/lights & on-board glow....5 connections each side (engines 2 & 3 will be part of fuse/center wing). My thought was to split the plane in half for redundancy/safety vs. convienece (had a fail safe last year and lost a P-38) with the two receivers: split aileron control between receivers....engines 1& 4 one receiver....engines 2&3 2nd receiver.....gang elevator (2 servos.....seperate receivers)....then have rudder, gear, brakes (function of down elevator), cargo door and "slurry" drop on one receiver (Both receivers backed up with a battery backer). I am considering the MPI autopilot as the ultimate backup.

Too Complex.....beyond the KISS aproach....definately! (some one could "turn" on and the whole bag is up for grabs). But, with the investement in this, safety of spectators, does it make sense to take technology where it is today?

I appreciate your advice and input.

Bob
