Default VQ Macchi 205

I've bought the VQ Macchi 205 Italian fighter. The quality of the kit is reasonable, I like the oleo retracts that come preinstalled. Unfortunately I broke it on its first landing due to pilot error. The wing hit some weeds and the plane landed side ways breaking the axle.

I don't like the cowl color which is off compared to the body. Construction was straight forward and I put an OS 70 FS.

Takeoff is straight and smooth but I had to use full down trim to get level flight. There is no down thrust on the firewall, I had to put a couple of washers on the engine mount to get a 2 degree down.

Flys relatively fast and can do basic aerobatics. The roll rate is low as the wings are quite long. The recommend throws we ok for first flight but later you might want to have a bit more.

Landings are about average for a warbird, if you maintain some speed it quite stable.
