I have a Tower Hobbies .61 in mine and I can't hardly get the thing on the ground! It hates to be restricted by gravity! Mine does more than I expected and with a little play with the prop, I think it will do even more.
Honestly, for all of the things that I have read in this thread, I was scared to death that mine would fall apart in the air, so I took a little extra precaution, but I have had no problems. After I broke the engine in, it just flies and flies and I can land it like it's standing still. I didn't have to add any weight or anything. I put the battery above the fuel tank and the receiver over the CG and it worked out just right. CG is a little bit aft of recommended and it will do, like I said, anything I tell it to.
