I think you have some expert advice so far.

I have done the sliding canopy on a Platt P51, but aam not expert enough yet to post pictures. !
I used the K & B Brass tracks ( as it appears did Sagacity ). But , on the canopy itself, I used short ( < 1/2 inch ) same brass track ) epoxied to a panel of 1/32 ply itself epoxied to the inside of the canopy .
Another , single rail, at the rear of the canopy , accomodates an inverted "T " piece ( e.g. a suitable screw ) screwed to the inside back end of the canopy.

Needs to be fitted well to slide ok ........add some Silicon Dry Spray to help things along .
