Default RE: U-Can-Do 3d 46?

ORIGINAL: expresspilot

I'm getting close to having my first ucd 46 ready to fly. I've read over the forum and tried to use everything I learned in here to use. I decided to put the fuel tank on the CG but it just want fit. I also wanted a larger tank to feed my new saito .91 so I mounted the tank in the canopy and painted the canopy blue ( I like the way it looks anyway). I'm using a cline regulator setup so tank position should not be a problem. I fiberglassed the gear and added weed trimmer line stab bracing. I added a slight amount of added right thrust to help compensate for the larger engine. Should be a good plane to learn 3d on ( I hope). I can't wait for my missing rudder to come from GP so I can finish and go flying. But my point is thanks to all those who put GOOD information in these forums. They help people like me so much. I would have to learn on my own about things like the landing gear block with such a media to obtain this info.
I never thought of putting the tank in the canopy, i have thought of putting a smoke tank up there though.
