Having read a much earlier reply can I just correct the Guy who said as you go past 30 degrees the wing will stall, so that in a vertical hover the wing is stalled. This is not correct and shows a misunderstanding of angle of attack which is the relationship between the chord line and the relative airflow over the wing.
When the nose is in a vertical nose high position the wing is not stalled.as the relative angle of the airflow to the wing is '0' .unless there is some wind in which case if you are torque rolling the wings angle of attack will be increasing and decreasing.
