Default RE: CA model Funky 40

I am currently building this kit and the fit of the laser parts is exceptional. The instructions are a little behind the quality of most USA kits due to the translation. If you have built a few kits or better yet scratch built, you probably don't need instructions anyway. There were a few small pieces of wood that I replaced but it was not necessary. Since I had a stack of 4-6 pound wood available I decided to go ahead and substitute. The wood is metric but close enough for substitution if need be. All in all it was a pleasure building the kit and I would build other kits of the same mfg.

The airplane looks like it will fly well due to the large control surfaces and layout. I built a permanent balsa cowling instead of using the fiberglass one that came with the kit. The rest of the kit is stock.

I am amazed at the price and quality of the ARF models coming out. I saw an AD in Fly RC that had a Hangar 9 ARF similar to the Funky 40 for around $100 which is what the Funky 40 kit cost me at Toledo last year. I haven't bought an ARF yet but am getting closer all the time.
