You mean less flexable up untill the point of failure, at that point I would have to say rods would be stronger. The point is moot for the application we are talking about as I have not heard of anyones foamie wing folding in flight.

Since I already have several rods and they weigh less than an ounce for a 4' peice I am going to give them a try and not worry about the weight. Does anyone know the weight of the tubes?
