Ultra Precision sells long air cylinders for canopies, etc. You may consider one of those. It's possible to use a bell crank and a servo too. The bell crank will need to be tailored to the travel of the servo and the needed travel of the canopy. For instance, if the servo throw is 2.5 inches you would need a arm to the canopy to be twice as long as the arm to the servo to get sufficient travel. Hope this isn't too confusing.. BobH.
