I saw on a web site instructions on how to bypass the diode, but not sure that's a good idea. The factory has a good reason or wouldn't put it in. I sometimes wonder if all this about battery memory, cycling, etc isn't a little overstated. I have 3 radios that are over 10 years old, original TX batteries. I don't own a cycler, although occasionally I just leave the TX and RX on in my shop until things start to "jiggle" a little. Batteries are weird critters.
I don't know much about the Triton, but I noticed something in your post. If you set the charge rate at .6A, which is the same as 600 mah, then i would think it would be fully charged in one hour??. (.6A X one hour = 600 mah) So 64 minutes would mean the battery must have been properly discharged. Sounds good to me
