Tom,
So you recommend keeping the CG at 5" for someone that wants a docile flying airplane, and reducing the control throws?
CG at 4 3/4", elevator throws at 12 degrees max, expo around 50% (-50% for you Futaba folks. Don't get it mixed up or you'll have a battle on your hands).
It should be very easy to handle and still have enough authority to do some tumbling. IN normal flight we seldom use more than 2-3 degrees of elevator.
