Thanks rajul,
On an older TX like futaba skysport 6a should i remove the crystal and will that save on the batt.
Thats what I have been using on my sim because it just sits collecting dust otherwise.
Havent been using my new 9c for fear of burrning it up.
Thanks
Eric
Eric, that's right, remove the xtal if you're not sure. You could do a simple test. Plug in your adaptor (round DIN for the 6A), switch on your RX and see if the servos move. If they don't that means your Tx is not transmittting and you don't really have to remove the xtal
I use my 9C everyday on my AFP without any concern, and I don't have to remove the module or xtal because of my adaptor design. You should utilize the computerised functions of your 9C as it opens up a whole new realm of flying, plus you get familiarised faster with the Tx for actual flying
