i have moved the CG back to 140mm

maiden flight will be on sunday unless i pull a sicky from work

i will let you know how it goes

oh another thing any tips for breaking in the engine i was told by weston's to bolt it on and fly it in ????

i was going to run a tank on the ground and time it so ive got a ruff idea of when its going to quit

any advice welcome

miskin,

After posting, I re-checked my CG and I am right at 135. I did have to add weight behind the wing TE.

The yellow dots are at 140 mm, and plane sits level here. At about 5 mm forward of this, plane is balanced "nose heavy".

I can't imagine how these would fly if you balanced it per the MFG (120-130 mm). You'd probably have to land at 60-70 mph to have any elevator control [sm=lol.gif]

Hope this helps, and I didn't mess ya up!

I ran 2 tanks (break in) on the ground (not timed) and flew it on the 3rd tank...running rich. After the maiden, we walked over to it and the motor temp was perfect. You could actually grab it, and hang on to it.

Motor ran flawlessly!!
