I have both the GP cub and the 3D ....Ca's on both plane's control surface's no problem's yet ,I'll keep an eye on it [:-]....As far as the cub wing strut's ca hinge's failing they are crap to begin with and if you didn't install then yourself no tellin if they where done right ...Then again look at the force the wing strut is under compared to the hinge's your control surface's are ....It's like a surf board being held by that little P.O.S...If you are going to cut the ca's you have installed ,then I would use Robart pivot point hinge's( I think Robart call's them HINGE POINT's) and gorilla glue...See the review in the RCU magazine they have a video that you can watch....JW

thanks for the input Joe and Roger. Yesterday I saw a GP Cub with a YS63 lose its struts during flight due to BOTH hinges failing. Of course he used the stock GP CA hinges and he never flys the plane hard so I began to wonder. Another reason why I am changing out is becuase both ailerons are not flexing equally becuase I think I did a poor job putting them in so I might just go ahead and re-align it all and get the radio South ones in. My pal Lee even suggested going hardcore on the rudder and putting small Robarts in...
hmm..
