Built the basic fuse, all slots together pretty easily, no challenges there at all. Just make sure it's all nice and square before gluing the sides and formers together, we used a jig to hold it all and kept it in the jig when we sheeted the top and bottom of the fuse. Not because of a problem, but because we thought a little bit of support for such a light structure wouldn't go amiss.
Here's the fuse with the rear sheeted and the engine box in. To give you an idea of the size of this gorgeous beast, that's a 2ft steel rule at the lower front.
Not decided yet whether to make to the whole top, from forward of the canopy, back to behind it a one piece hatch, though I know Baron's a bit against the idea, but it'd make it a doddle to put together at the field.
We'll be putting a standard Saito 180GK in it and depending on final weight, maybe a smoke system.
I think Archie's mentioned it before, but we're doing it as an on-line build here.
