RE: Moki 210
Just a little food for thought. I purchased a TF kit built GS P51 with a Moki 210 in her and although she flew scale , I was looking for a little more. I tried different props and nothing seemed to improve the performance. The engine was by no means a dog. It would turn up a MA 20X10 prop at 7500. I installed a DA 50R turning a 22X10 and could not believe the difference in performance. Both are rated around 5 HP. One other item to consider is fuel consumption. The 210 will suck down 2.5 oz/min at full throttle. That's a lot of fuel. With a 24oz tank , you'll only get a 8 minute flight with 2 minute reserve. I know most of my flying with the 210/P51 combo was full throttle. I just want to state for the record , I do like the Moki in the right application. I have a 210 in a Midwest Cap 232 and love it. Most of the flying is around 1/2 throttle which makes all the difference.
