kroflite54 - As with any topic on RCU you will get mixed opinions. This is good because in the end it makes you think and you ultimately have to make your own decisions. I used Radio South hinges on this 60 sized ARF. I added two additional hinges to the ailerons. I felt these were fine on this sized airplane and considering my flying style. I fly probably like you do. I would not use the stock CA hinges, or CA hinges of any type on a 1/4 scale and up, especially with a gas engine. Vibration from gassers seems to be the big culprit on CA hinges. I am using the Surpass 91 on mine and didn't make any changes in the thrust angle. I am very pleased with mine as is. Have probably 40 or more flights on it now.
