Ken, again I must state that I've never lost a stock hinge, but wanted to get a little more serious on this model. First time on pinned hinges and its not in the air as of yet. Aside from the obvious increase in strength, the resistance is zero with the pinned hinges. Easy application with 30 min. epoxy and the barrel on the hinge aids in obtaining a nice even gap between control surface and wing. The low or non existing resistance now puts more torque into moving the control surface and less in fighting the solid tab CA hinges. Before application just smear some vaseline on a palet and dip the barrel in the vaseline so glue won't stick to the pin and knuckles of the hinge. Good luck, Joe

P.S. I did find a good use for the stock GP hinges. Cut a strip and use it to stuff the epoxy into the slots for the pinned hinges. Regards, Heloise
