I used the included push rods. However after a couple of flights I opened up the bottom of the fuse near the stab so I could put a bearing support on the elevator push rod. I was getting a lot of flex at the Y. Very nice flying plane. The retracts are a pain. If I had it to do over again, I would get the fixed gear version.
