The plastic housing on my original set broke on the 2nd landing. Replaced them with some metal ones. The struts bend a lot and require frequent bending back in shape so they will open and close OK. This rebending is pretty hard to do. I guess to me they are just more trouble than they are worth. If you fly off a pave surface and have good smooth landing skills, they are probably OK for many people.
