Default RE: Modeltec Excite 90/how does it 3D?

More info on the Excite 90...

I had to work through 2 major problems-

1) The wing is not square to the fuse. I filled in the bolt holes in the wing and cut new holes to move the TE of the wing back into proper position. The LE measured equal on both sides; the TE was off 3/16 inch. I think the problem is with the fuse. The right aileron wound up too close to the fuse - I removed the covering at the root end on the aileron and sanded it to give more clearance.

2) The fuel tank CL is 1 inch higher than the carb CL. I am running the Saito 100.(new motor - immediately flooded trying to start w/ motor inverted) I opted to re-position the motor; the tank support is also a structural member for the landing gear mount. I did not want to go through too much surgery. I changed the mount to a Dave Brown and rotated the Saito to the right about 70 deg. Also had to rotate the carb 180 deg to get the throttle arm in a usable location.

I have only 3 flights on it and can say it does fly nice. The CG is still too forward for my liking. The Saito 100 is MORE than enough power. I am running a Pro Zinger 15x6 and will change to a 15x4.

Once I get it dialed in closer I will post the all up weight and final CG location.

BTW, I did email Mike at Hobby People and he was more than willing to send out anything I needed to get the Excite right. I decided to try to fix what I had. And I really didn't know what was causing the mis-alignment at the time
