if you are flying with a 4 channel radio then yes it will make you a better pilot....although i don;t know whether you'll need the nine channel radio right off the bat though....

i would personally go with the futaba 6exa or any other 6 channel that you like.....you don't really need all of those switches on the radio unless you are flying an aerobatics plane or a scale model that you will need a pile of switches and such to control every single movement of the plane...[sm=bananahead.gif]
