Hi all. So I'm nearing completion of my Kadet Seniorita. I purchased my first covering iron and 3 rolls of Ultracoat yesterday, so that will keep me busy this weekend. I've chosen to power it with a Saito 30 and I have a Futaba 6EXA radio, and I am a bit stumped about the throttle cut switch. So far, I have found that when I activated the throttle cut switch, the throttle servo moves beyond 'idle' setting and stays at that point (for 5 seconds then returns to idle) and quickly turned the reciever switch off. I then made sure the carb barrel was fully closed, and determined the length of the control cable and clevisis such that I don't hear any buzz from the servo. So now when the servo returns (opens after 5 seconds) to the lowest throttle setting on the TX stick, the carb barrel is opened a bit. So far so good. My question arrise about finding the correct push-rod length, and TX setting for the three points, throttle cut, idle, and full throttle.
Is the throttle cut position moving beyond (below) the 100% setting of the idle end point? Or is something else happening? On the 6EXA, if I change the End Point Adjustment, am I changing the limit of the throttle cut, or the lowest setting of the idle? Then which do I change to set the low idle point? The trim? What would you recomend for the best sequence to set this up, so I'm not going around and around in the wrong way? I read the radio manual cover to cover several times, but this issue seems to be glossed over.
Secondly, does anyone know roughly how much arc of the throttle arm on a Saito 30 I need to expect for idle? approximately? 1/8? 1/4? 1/3? I haven't started the engine yet, but I sure am eager to! Dang its pretty! To prevent myself before I'm ready, I intentionally haven't purchasing a chicken stick, glow plug igniter or fuel..... yet,.... But the snow here has begun to melt, and grass is beginning to show, so I'd best get things finished soon.
